Hydryllin Syrup/Suspension is used to treat issues like bronchitis of chronic type and allergies. This medicine contains the active ingredients of Aminophylline, Diphenhydramine Hcl, Ammonium Chloride and Menthol. Aminophylline. Aminophylline belongs to the group of drugs known as xanthines. The second component of Hydryllin 120ml, Diphenhydramine, belongs to the group of medicines known as antihistamines and works by blocking a specific chemical in the body. It blocks the chemical which is responsible for causing allergies in the body.
Drug Facts
Each 5ml contains:
- Aminophylline Ph.: 32 mg
- Diphenhydramine HCI: 8 mg
- Ammonium Chloride Ph.: 30 mg
- Menthol: 0.98 mg
Dosage
- Adults: 5-10ml (1-2 teaspoons) every 4-6 hours as indicated.
- Children: 2-6 Years: Upto 2.5 ml (1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon) as indicated.
- 7-12 years: 2.5 ml (1/2 - 1 teaspoon) every 4-6 hours as indicated.
- If required an additional extra dose may be taken after the first 2 hour.
