Zenrel (Lercanidipine HCL) is a 3,5-pyridine-dicarboxy;ic acid, 1,4-dihydro- 2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl) 2- [(3,3- diphenyl-propyl) methylamino ]-1 , 1 -diphenyl-hydrochloride, a third generation dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker.
Chemical structure of Lercanidipine, the bulky and hydrophobic amine alkyl side chain confers a unique structure characterized by high flexibility and very high lipophilicity, which is responsible for the drugs pharmacodynamic-pharmacokinetic properties.
Composition
Each film coated tablet contains:
- Lercanidipine HCL: 10 mg
Suggested Usage:

Adult: Although the pharmacokinetic data and clinical experience suggest that no adjustment of the daily dosage is required special care should be exercised when initiating treatment in the elderly
- Children: Since there is no clinical experience in patients under the age 18 years, used in children is not currently recommended.
